This design was a commission originally, and my client has given me permission to replicate the earrings for others. She says every time she wears these, she gets raves and compliments from total strangers, even more so than with her previous earring commission from me, the orange pod earrings.

Tough to make, EXTREMELY gratifying when finished, these hoop earrings are made by stitching teensy 15/o seed beads in a ruffled pattern, which means increasing on most of the rows (a big pain sometimes). But oh man, when they're finished, they're the most luscious earrings ever! The colours shade from midnight blue on the inside to electric strawberry on the outside, with purples and pinks between. The ruffle is completed, and stitched firmly to a silver ear hoop base as a separate step.

What I really like of this, is the way you managed to create a gradient from blue to violet, by using beads! It's really a lovely design!

changing the bead colours every few rows makes the gradient.
