1.Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
“…Showalter’s ‘New Feminist Criticism’.” The Gender of Modernism (A Critical Anthology) edited by Bonnie Kime Scott. I’m inclined to think it’s posturing BS put on the bookshelf by people who want to seem educated yet ‘anti-mainstream’ enough to be cool. Like I said, BS. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who considered themselves ‘mainstream’ so I’m forced to conclude there’s no such thing, and people who consider themselves ‘not like everybody else’ are mostly not bothering to get to know other people enough to realize that there IS no ‘everybody else’, that WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT and therefore, all the same. …Oops, ok, no more ranting on a tangent.

2.Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you reach?
My sister’s silver candle in its cube holder, her glass fern-image decoration thingy, 5 cds, a stainless steel tray containing jewelry, a flash drive, a pocketknife, altered matchbox, and punk pins.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Stargate: Atlantis episode ‘Trinity’(the message seemed to be, Don't use your friends to enable you to kill people/help you in your overconfident mission to salvage a remarkably stupid weapon that was abandoned by much smarter people).

4. Without looking, guess what time it is:
7:34

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
9:14

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
A couple of my brothers chatting amongst themselves.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Earlier yesterday around lunchtime, driving to a near town to buy beads.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
A thread on WeMakeZines [link]

9. What are you wearing?
Black tights under blackish leggings under long black skirt with slit up the side, gray camisole with sequined neckline, underneath which is a DIY longsleeve top made of too-large black tights.

10. Did you dream last night?
Nothing that I remember.

11. When did you last laugh?
In the car, at my brother making the same terrible joke he’s made 94 times already (it shouldn’t be funny, but it is).

12. What are on the walls of the room you are in?
Orange paint. A framed poster for the play Talk Radio. A lady in red. Black and white John Clark prints [link] . My collection of masks. My Josephine Wall calendar. A framed collage made by me. A collection of mouths in various contortions.

13. Seen anything weird lately?
Yes, you, asking these weird questions. :D

14. What do you think of this quiz?
See above.

15. What is the last film you saw?
Iron Man, with my brothers. Have you ever looked at RDJ’s torso in profile? Turns out he has surprisingly womanly hips. In a masculine way though I know that makes no sense. Tee hee.

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
I’d hire an expert to run the business/boring side of my jewelry business, and several pairs of tights, jeans, and a good overbust corset, and a trip to the Bead&Button show next June, but mostly I’d let my father handle it so he wouldn’t have to work his current job.

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know about.
I've never read Harry Potter, or gone on a date, entirely by choice. Oh and some online acquaintances are sure I'm secretly a psychologist doing a study on them.

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
I’d want human beings to be better at communicating, and less attached to thinking with emotions instead of with their minds. And for self-styled progressive people to just be honest with me and tell me outright they refuse to accept me and mine, instead of dallying around finding reasons why I don't qualify to receive their 'tolerance'.

19. Do you like to dance?
I’d love to dance. I think I’d be a natural dancer with a partner; unfortunately, my beliefs discourage partnered dancing for my current life circumstance, and I SUCK at solo dancing.

20. George Bush:
I’ve never met the man.

21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Pearl

22. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Ebony

23. Would you ever consider living abroad?
I’d love to live in England for a year and see the more subtle cultural differences between there and here in the US.

24. What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?
Welcome, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord.
